アメリカのハワイ州オアフ島へ

美智子理事長とアメリカのハワイ州オアフ島へいってきました。

「日立の樹」のモデルとしても有名な「モアナルア・ガーデン」へ。高さ約25m、幅約40m、樹齢約130年。

「日立の樹」があるモアナルア・ガーデンは、アメリカ合衆国ハワイ州オアフ島のワイキキから車で30分ほどの地にあります。地元の人々にとっての憩いの場として、観光スポットとして、多くの人々に親しまれています。園内には、ハワイ原産に限らず、さまざまな植物が世界中から集められていました。機会がありましたら、ぜひ一度訪れてみてくださいね。

“To Oahu, Hawaii”

I traveled to Oahu, Hawaii, with Chairperson Michiko.

We visited Moanalua Gardens, famous for the tree that served as the model for the Hitachi Group’s “Hitachi Tree” commercial—the one featuring the catchy song, “What kind of tree is this? I’m curious about this tree…” The tree stands approximately 25 meters tall and 40 meters wide, and is about 130 years old.

Moanalua Gardens, home to the “Hitachi Tree,” is located about a 30-minute drive from Waikiki on Oahu, Hawaii. It is a beloved spot for both locals and tourists alike, serving as a place for relaxation and leisure. The gardens feature a diverse array of plants gathered from around the world, not just those native to Hawaii. If you ever have the chance, I highly recommend visiting.

I am deeply grateful for the presence of Chairperson Michiko, with whom I could share every moment and engage in meaningful conversation; it was a trip that made me feel we would continue to grow together in the future.

我和美智子理事长一起去了美国夏威夷州欧胡岛。

我们去了因“这是棵什么树 令人好奇的树～”这首日立集团广告歌曲《日立之树》的原型而闻名的“莫阿纳鲁阿花园”。树高约25米，宽约40米，树龄约130年。

拥有“日立之树”的莫阿纳鲁阿花园，位于美国夏威夷州欧胡岛，距威基基开车约30分钟。它作为当地人的休憩场所和旅游景点，深受众多人们的喜爱。园内不仅种植了夏威夷原产品种，还汇集了来自世界各地的各种植物。如果有机会，请务必去一次看看。
