『What I Learn from Generation Z』

Lately, I’ve had more opportunities to interact with members of Generation Z—whether they are students in my courses or part of the communities I belong to.
Naturally, different generations use different tools and gather information in different ways, but what surprises me even more is their mindset.

Just the other day, I had tea with a 23-year-old member of one of my communities.
Despite having graduated from university only this past spring, she isn’t just focused on herself; she actively considers what she can do for others and for society, and then puts those thoughts into action.

She isn’t the only one, either.
The Generation Z individuals I meet these days interact naturally with people—even those as old as their parents’ generation—while always maintaining a genuine sense of respect.
They often teach me about useful work tools and new ways of communicating, frequently surprising me with methods I’d never even imagined.

When I look back at my own twenties, I was mostly concerned with having a good time, and I almost exclusively associated with people my own age.
Reflecting on that, I often feel like *I’m* the one who is still a child, even though I’m significantly older.
Lately, every conversation I have with them is full of “Aha!” moments.

The lessons I learn from these young women of Generation Z are truly a treasure to me.
