“About Weight Gain in the Near-50s”
This is my first greeting of 2026, so I’d like to extend my belated thanks for your continued support this year!
At this time of year, many of my salon clients have reported gaining weight over the New Year.
I also gained a little weight over the New Year, eating and drinking a lot, so I was less active.
However, I’ve already gotten back to my original weight!
Once you hit your 50s, it’s difficult to lose weight or diet so easily…
The reason is that
Once you hit your 50s, it becomes increasingly difficult to lose weight with the same diet and exercise habits as when you were younger.
The main reasons for this are hormonal changes, loss of muscle mass, and a slower metabolism.
Furthermore, winter is a season in which the body is more likely to store excess fat due to reduced blood flow and exercise caused by the cold, as well as psychological effects like craving warm foods and sweets.
In other words, winter can be a time when the “difficulty of losing weight” overlaps for people in their 50s.
So what should you do?
Habits to raise body temperature and blood flow
– Being cold directly leads to a slowed metabolism. Maintain your body temperature with a bath or light strength training.
Diet to preserve muscle mass
– Maintain your basal metabolic rate by consciously consuming protein.
Light exercise that’s easy to stick to, even in winter
– The key is to move a little bit every day, such as indoor stretching, yoga, and climbing stairs.
This is the most important thing!

Incorporate a wide range of nutrients
I’m lazy, so I’m not good at carefully preparing my own meals. For those of you like me, I recommend a complete nutritional diet. Just dissolve it in water and drink it in the morning instead of protein.
✔ Just one serving (approximately 3g) is designed to provide 11 vitamins, 10 minerals, and essential amino acids.
✔️Contains black ginger to raise core body temperature
✔ Contains BEAA, which is said to support muscle synthesis equivalent to 20g of whey protein.
✔ A low-calorie, complete nutritional supplement that supports both nutritional support and body building.
Even people in their 50s can lose weight with just this, demonstrating the importance of a balanced diet.
It also boosts metabolism.
This is highly recommended for lazy exercisers and those looking for an easy, healthy way to lose weight! ️
Winter can be a tough time to lose weight, but by incorporating strategies tailored to your hormones and metabolism, you can easily tone your body and skin for spring.
Rather than a “crazy diet,” supporting metabolism while warming the body is the key to preventing winter weight gain for people in their 50s.
Not only for people in their 50s,
It’s also popular among older people who have lost their appetite and are trying to maintain their energy levels.
If you’d like to try it, please contact us.
I hope you have a healthy and wonderful year.
Spring is almost here!
Let’s have some fun with fashion.☆
