コンテストに挑戦しようと思ったきっかけを教えてください。
What inspired you to enter this contest?
グランプリに選ばれた瞬間は、どんな気持ちでしたか？
How did you feel the moment you were selected for the Grand Prix?
周りには経験豊富な方が多く、自分が選ばれるとは思っていませんでした。名前を呼ばれたときは驚きでいっぱいで、思わず泣いてしまいました。
コンテストから時間がたった今も、そのときのステージの光景が心に残っています。家に飾っているティアラを見るたびに、受賞した瞬間を思い出します。
There were so many experienced people around me that I never imagined I would be chosen. I was completely surprised when my name was called and found myself moved to tears. Even now, some time after the contest, the image of that moment on stage remains etched in my heart. Every time I look at the tiara displayed in my home, I am reminded of the moment.
今回の挑戦で、特に努力したことは何ですか？
What did you put the most effort into during this challenge?
もともと自分に自信がなく、自分自身を好きになれないところもありました。そんな中で、自分の魅力や経験をどう伝えるかを考えることが、一番大きな挑戦でした。
特にスピーチでは、限られた１分間で自分の特徴や挑戦への思いを伝えなければなりません。何を話せば自分らしさが伝わるのか、言葉をまとめることに苦労しました。
I have never been very confident in myself, and there were times when I struggled to like who I was. Given that, the biggest challenge for me was figuring out how to convey my personal appeal and experiences. The speech, in particular, required me to communicate my unique qualities and my feelings about this challenge within a strict one-minute limit. I struggled to craft the right words.
これからの目標を教えてください。
Please tell us about your future goals.
今回のグランプリを、次の活動につなげていきたいです。身近で活躍するモデルの方々を見て、一つひとつの経験を重ねながら前に進む姿に憧れています。
私の最初の夢は、俳優など演技の仕事を含め、芸能の世界で活動することでした。これまでモデルのお話をいただく機会もあり、自分の身長やスタイルを生かせる道としてモデルにも関心を持つようになりました。これからはモデルの活動を続けながら、演技にも挑戦していきたいです。
I want to use this Grand Prix win as a springboard for my future activities. I admire the models I see working around me—seeing how they move forward by building up experience, step by step. My initial dream was to work in the entertainment industry, including acting. Having received modeling offers along the way, I became interested in modeling as a path where I could make the most of my height and physique. Moving forward, I want to continue my modeling work while also taking on the challenge of acting.
海外の大会にも興味はありますか？
Are you interested in overseas competitions as well?
興味はあります。ただ、今回のコンテストが私にとってこれまでで一番大きな経験だったので、さらに大きなステージに立つことには不安もあります。いろいろな人と出会える楽しみと、プレッシャーの両方を感じています。
まずは今回の経験を大切にして、自分にできる挑戦を一つずつ重ねていきたいです。
I am interested. However, since this contest has been the biggest experience of my life so far, I also feel some anxiety about stepping onto an even bigger stage. I feel a mix of excitement about meeting various people and the pressure that comes with it. For now, I want to cherish this experience and take on new challenges one step at a time.
大宮水月さんは、幼い頃から抱いてきた芸能界への憧れを大切にし、初めて挑戦したコンテストでグランプリを受賞されました。取材では、受賞した瞬間の驚きや喜びとともに、自分の魅力をどう伝えるか悩みながらも、真剣にスピーチに向き合った思いをお話しくださいました。自信のなさや新たな舞台への不安を率直に語る姿からは、自分自身と向き合い、一歩ずつ前に進もうとする誠実さが伝わってきました。劇団で培った表現力や空手の経験も、大宮さんならではの魅力につながっていると感じます。今回の受賞を新たな一歩として、モデルや演技の分野で経験を重ね、ご自身の可能性を広げていかれることを期待しています。これからのご活躍を楽しみにしています。

Ms. Mitsuki Omiya cherished a long-held dream of entering the entertainment industry and won the Grand Prix in the very first contest she entered. During the interview, she shared not only the surprise and joy she felt at the moment of her victory but also the earnest dedication she brought to her speech, even while grappling with how best to convey her own unique appeal. Her candidness about her lack of confidence and her anxiety regarding this new stage revealed a sincere determination to confront herself and move forward one step at a time. I believe that the expressive skills she honed in a theater troupe and her experience in karate contribute to the unique charm that defines her. I hope she uses this award as a springboard to gain experience in modeling and acting, thereby expanding her horizons. I look forward to seeing her future success.

母の知人からコンテストを紹介していただいたのがきっかけです。小学生の頃から芸能界への憧れがあり、その夢をずっと諦められずにいました。
小学５年生から約８年間、劇団で活動していて、ステージで表現することの楽しさも感じていました。また、このコンテストのテーマである日本文化にもひかれました。私は小学２年生から中学１年生まで空手を続けていたので、自分自身の経験ともつながると感じ、挑戦を決めました。
I decided to enter after an acquaintance of my mother told me about the contest. I had long admired the entertainment industry and never gave up on that dream. I was active in a theater troupe for about eight years, starting in the fifth grade, and I truly enjoyed the experience of performing on stage. I was also drawn to the contest’s theme of Japanese culture. Having practiced karate from the second grade of elementary school through the first year of junior high, I felt a personal connection to the theme, which motivated me to take on the challenge.
